An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Support autistic individuals, reconsider hurtful rhetoric promoting stigma

3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

RFK's false and dehumanizing statements about autism threaten to undo decades of progress toward greater inclusion and understanding. His inaccurate assertions that most autistic people cannot work, pay taxes, or live independently stigmatize a large and diverse community. Autism is a spectrum, and many autistic individuals lead productive, independent lives as respected members of society. While some may need more support, all deserve respect and access to resources - not cruel misinformation. We call on Congress to condemn this damaging rhetoric and reaffirm their commitment to the rights and dignity of autistic Americans.
