Time for a caring foreign policy!

Empathy is the soul of democracy. Cruelty is the soul of autocracy. Foreign policy of true democracies protect innocent civilians. The USA should not be helping Israel and Russia kill innocent civilians. The Palestinian civilian death toll has reached 30,000! It’s criminal. Wouldn’t it be better to increase funding for the war in Ukraine. Wouldn’t it be better to reframe our help in the Middle East around an immediate cease fire, humanitarian aid, ending the Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, and finding a two state solution? It’s time to govern with empathy for and responsibility to human rights. Protecting and empowering strong, diverse communities of nurturing families here and abroad that care for one another is the American ideal. It’s time we stand up for American values of care.
