Truck traffic destroying our community

We have a TRUCK TRAFFIC SAFETY CRISIS right NOW.   We need your help to implement serious IMMEDIATE changes involving State DOT & truck traffic and truck routes in our rural community. We are residents of rural Townships in Northampton County, PA. There are huge tractor trailer trucks and dump trucks that are too big for our small rural roads and can’t make it up and down the hills. They make unconscionable noise at all hours of the day and night, 7 days a week. Saturday nights after midnight, Sundays at 7 AM - all hours. They going coming to & from Route 33 and I-80, plowing through our small towns like it’s a parking lot. They have no right to disturb the peace and cause deadly accidents and pollute the air with fumes and noise like this. It’s so wrong. And now there’s more development that’s being allowed to move forward in Upper Mt. Bethel - one of ‘the largest warehouse developments’ in the northeast. This development will RUIN our community and destroy our property values and any semblance of a quality of life we still have. NO ONE who lives here wants this - we do not want to live next to mega-warehouses. This region cannot sustain more development - it’s already DANGEROUS and UNSAFE right now. Please take ACTION immediately to STOP the truck traffic. And then GET INVOLVED with managing the warehouse development that’s destroying this region.
