Utah has disproportionately high rates of suicide among LGBTQ+ youth compared to their heterosexual peers. This alarming statistic underscores the profound impact your dismissive stance has on fostering an unwelcoming environment. As a leader, embracing diversity and supporting the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month could significantly contribute to creating a more inclusive society that uplifts and empowers all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
