States- Restrict Flock Surveillance Camera Access — Require Warrants Now States need to restrict police access to Flock surveillance cameras immediately and require a warrant before any use of this technology. The evidence of abuse is already here: six Savannah Police Department employees are under criminal investigation for misusing Flock cameras after being fired. That's 1% of that department alone. Applied nationally, that's a conservative estimate of 7,500 municipal officers misusing this technology — and that figure doesn't even touch state or federal agencies. This isn't a hypothetical risk. Flock systems track people's movements and their associated devices, building profiles on ordinary residents without their knowledge or consent. No warrant, no oversight, no accountability. Courts are still working through the constitutional questions, but people are being surveilled right now. The Fourth Amendment doesn't pause for litigation. No use of this technology should be permitted without judicial authorization, and any access outside a warrant should carry real criminal penalties — not just termination.
