Our Legislators Must Defend the Free Press and First Amendment!

congress I urge you to take action against former President Trump’s recent call to shut down MSNBC—an outright attack on press freedom and a violation of the First Amendment. President Trump's ongoing vilification of the media has escalated into a direct attempt to suppress free speech and control information, threatening our democracy. The First Amendment guarantees a free press to hold power accountable, and any effort to silence it undermines our nation's core principles. As a member of Congress, you have a duty to defend the Constitution. I urge you to: • Support Legislation to strengthen press protections. • Demand Hearings on threats to press freedom. • Publicly Defend the First Amendment against censorship efforts. • Request Investigations into unconstitutional suppression of the media. • Block Executive Actions that threaten journalistic independence. If you refuse to act, I request a clear explanation: Do you support President Trump’s attempt to silence the press? I honestly do not believe this but your lack of action suggests that you might.  Do you oppose the First Amendment's protections? Your constituents need you to confirm you support for the Constitution meaningfully and publicly,  They have been mislead and lied to before, they want to believe you but you must take action to justify their faith in you. I look forward to your response and to seeing you uphold the Constitution. President Trump's actions are clearly an attack on the Constitution, and I ask that you honor your oath of office and protect this nation.
