Help prevent bird flu, reinstate CDC farmer workshop

Please speak out about the need to prevent a bird flu pandemic! Reuters reported yesterday that the CDC has cancelled a workshop on bird flu prevention that farmers wanted. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/us-cdc-cancels-science-group-workshop-preventing-human-bird-flu-infections-2025-04-29/ As I'm sure you are aware, although bird flu is not a high risk for the general population right now, farmworkers need protection and the better protected they are, the safer the rest of us will be from the virus possibly mutating someday to spread from human to human. Please look into why the CDC contract with The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has been cancelled. This is no kind of savings or clever budgeting, this is absolute madness in the guise of trimming government function. This is what government is for: public health on a centralized scale.
