We know you are better than this! Protect fair elections!

I’m writing to you as a constituent because I’m deeply worried about the future of our democracy. We cannot allow any political leader—including President Trump—to cast doubt on the midterm elections just to give his party an advantage. That only weakens trust in our system and undermines the foundation of our country. He is already trying to twist the Census to tilt congressional districts in his favor. He’s also pushing voter suppression measures that would make it harder for low-income communities to vote, or discourage people from showing up at all. We also can’t allow any president to declare a “national emergency” or use wartime powers as an excuse to delay or cancel an election. That would be a direct attack on our Constitution. On top of this, efforts to gerrymander districts—like we’ve seen in Texas—are designed to guarantee one party wins no matter what. That is not democracy. History will judge this moment. Those who stay silent or enable attacks on our elections will have to carry that legacy. This isn’t just a trap for the country—it’s a trap for anyone who lets Trump get away with it. I’m asking you to oppose any effort to create a crisis or push executive actions that make our elections unfair or biased. Doing so will only divide us further and damage America’s reputation in the world. I want to hear from you: what steps will you take to make sure the president cannot interfere with our elections? We need leaders who are willing to stand up now—not just as members of a party, but as citizens of this country. Thank you for your time and for serving the people of this district.
