PROTECT REFUGEES FLEEING THE DEIR EL-BALAH AREA IN GAZA

It's absolutely unacceptable that patients and refugees are being forced to flee the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza. This is the only medical care facility in the area. An Israeli drone strike today, 8/26, murdered 7 people in central Gaza, further adding to the chaos of thousands of refugees fleeing the area. Where are the injured from that attack supposed to go? Deir el-Balah is where most Palestinians have been forced to flee to as one of Israel's "designated humanitarian zones". I fully expect to see the death toll from this attack rise due to injured people dying due to not being able to receive immediate, life saving medical care. Since 10/7, Israel has murdered approximately 40,000 - 48,000 Palestinians in Gaza, 16,456 of which are children. If you look at the current death toll and include the best estimates available to count all indirect deaths as described in the academic paper “Counting the dead in Gaza: difficult but essential“, 202,175 Palestinians have been murdered. I demand you do everything in your power to: – Hold Israel accountable to a permanent, immediate ceasefire and for their repeat violations of international law – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid - Support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace – Secure the immediate release and safety of all hostages, including Palestinians held by Israel in "military prisons", including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7 – Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce U.S. laws like Leahy Law and the Arms Export Control Act – Resume full funding of UNRWA and allocate more funds to aid humanitarian efforts to rebuild Gaza, and provide Palestinians with the resources to survive and thrive – Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict - Void all anti-BDS laws and other laws that infringe on my right to freedom of speech to criticize any political ideology or country, and to use my money in ways that align with my values
