Today, on this national day of action, I am writing to you once again to ask that you find your courage and join millions of Americans across the country who are standing up to say no. No to blanket tariffs that everyday Americans will pay. No to isolating us from our closest allies and pulling us ever closer to countries like Russia and North Korea. No to depriving anyone in our free nation of their right to due process, no matter what we think they have done. Not only because it is wrong, but because we know when one person has no rights, it is a matter of time until none of us have rights. No to allowing a billionaire to chainsaw through our dedicated federal workers with no plan, no logic, and no proof of the fraud and abuse he claims to have found. No to threatening the social programs that have been the basis of allowing our society to to where we are. No to cowering before a bully who has made all of us less safe.
Stand up. Acknowledge that this administration has been so much worse than you expected. Reclaim your power as a Congress. Find your voice, not just the voice that Trump tells you to have. Fight for our people, our values in our country. Those who do not will not be remembered kindly by history.
