Investigate and speak out against the federal government's politically motivated targeting of Rep. Ilhan Omar. Federal agents searched her Washington, D.C., home, seized her phone, and sent roughly a dozen subpoenas to her family members, all just three weeks before the midterms, well within the window when the Justice Department typically avoids overt actions that could affect an election. This investigation has Trump's fingerprints all over it. He publicly said the government was looking at Omar "very carefully," then attacked her at a rally that same evening. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin telegraphed the action a month in advance, saying "something's going to happen" with her. That is not how legitimate law enforcement works. That is a political operation. The timing, the public taunting, and the focus on a sitting member of Congress whose phone seizure triggers constitutional speech-or-debate protections all point to one thing: using federal law enforcement to intimidate a political opponent before an election.
