Stop Protecting Trump from Investigation of his Role in the Epstein Files

House Judiciary Democrats called for an independent special counsel to investigate Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein and allegations that the Justice Department covered up evidence of Trump’s involvement in Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women. The 50-page staff report claimed Trump was “an active participant” in the abuse, citing accusations from five women who alleged that Trump raped or sexually assaulted them in Epstein’s company or presence. It is time to do something about these horrific crimes. Every adult who took part in this child sex trafficking ring needs to be investigated, arrested, and tried for their crimes. Stop protecting Donald Trump and any other person who was a part of it. Investigate and move forward with impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump and any other current serving member of the Trump administration and congress. uThe conduct in question is not a matter of politics. It is a matter of whether the law applies equally to everyone, including those who hold or have held the highest office in the land. Children should not be trafficked, raped, molested, or exploited. It is against the law. It is immoral. It is a heinous crime. Congress has both the authority and the obligation to act when evidence of misconduct exists. Inaction sends a clear message that some individuals are above the law. By not acting, you are saying their behavior is ok. I expect my elected officials to take that responsibility seriously and not let another moment pass without consequence. It has been far too long for the survivors of the Epstein sex trafficking ring to wait for the government to do what is right.
