An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Condemn Pardons for January 6th Violence Against Democracy

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The pardons for those involved in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol are a blatant disregard for the rule of law and an insult to the law enforcement officers who defended our democracy that day. Condoning violence against police and attempts to overturn a free and fair election is absolutely unacceptable. These pardons enable further political violence and lawlessness by signaling there are no consequences for such actions. They go against fundamental American values of peaceful transition of power and respect for democratic processes. A clear message must be sent that this inexcusable assault on the citadel of our democracy will not be tolerated or rewarded. I urge you to speak out forcefully against these alarming pardons that threaten the foundations of our constitutional republic.
