Deputize Citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

You know how you could protect the citizens of Massachusetts from ICE? Deputize Protesters. Deputize registered Democratic voters. Introduce legislation that still makes state and local law enforcement agencies able to perfo rm their duties, but protect the citizens of Massachusetts from ICE and BPD by making people who are eligible to vote a special class of deputized citize ns, so that when ICE agents target anybody, they are not only violating the Constitution, they're attacking state law enforcement. It would make it devastatingly simple to prosecute on state charges if ICE is assaulting deputized citizens swearing to serve and protect the Commonwealth.
