An open letter to the U.S. Congress

We need an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

Please push for a ceasefire in Gaza and end the violence being committed against the Palestinian people. It is important to recognize that Israel has made numerous claims to justify the atrocities that they have been unable to prove or provide evidence to support. This has been reported in outlets like the New York Times, CNN, and the Washington Post who have attempted to verify the claims, and found nothing. At least 20,000 people have been killed by Israel and US weapons in the past few months. This brutal attack has proportionately claimed more children’s lives than any other conflict in modern history. Over 10,000 children have been killed - with full U.S. support. This is unconscionable. This is not justice. This is brutality. There are currently millions of people displaced and starving. Journalists and their families have been targeted. Hospitals and refugee camps have been bombed and attacked. Unarmed hostages waving white flags have been shot on sight. We need to recognize war crimes and stop them - especially when we are sending weapons to support them. This should not be what America stands for in the world. We should not be terrorizing the world. This only leads to more extreme violence, and helps violent groups to gain support. Please work to stop the bloodshed. Thank you.
