Congress: Don't Allow Billions to Change to Dept of War- Save Medicaid Instead

Trump signed an executive order changing the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War and Mike Lee is sponsoring legislation to make this permanent. Estimates place the cost of making this change at over a billion dollars, potentially several billion dollars. Congress recently voted to gut Medicaid and SNAP in order to decrease the deficit, and yet now you are allowing a multi-billion dollar cosmetic change to the name of a department in order to keep his ego satisfied? Every member of Congress should be ashamed right now. You passed legislation that will kill people through malnutrition and lack of health care, yet you are allowing billions of dollars to be spent on changing stationery and wall plaques. If we have billions of dollars at our disposal in the budget, it should be directed back towards feeding hungry children and elderly, and providing healthcare for people who cannot otherwise afford it. I don't want my tax dollars being spent on such a ridiculous and unnecessary change when US citizens are literally dying for lack of funding to vital social programs. I call on you as my elected official to NOT allow this change to happen. He can only do what you allow him to do.
