An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress; State Governors & Legislatures

America Must Lead, Restore Critical Foreign Aid!

38 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

The recent suspension of U.S. foreign aid represents a significant policy shift that threatens global stability, undermines decades of progress, and weakens America's leadership role. Programs administered by USAID provide life-saving assistance, foster economic growth, and support our national security interests. Cutting this aid has already pushed vital organizations, such as Inclusive Development Partners, to the brink of collapse, leaving vulnerable populations without essential support (Brookings, March 2025). Private donors cannot fill this funding gap, and dismantling USAID erodes the expertise necessary to address global crises. The U.S. cannot afford to abandon its role in international development. I urge you to advocate for the immediate restoration of foreign aid to protect our strategic interests and uphold America’s commitment to global stability. I have included my state officials in this message in the hope that you will encourage members of Congress who have been complicit thus far.
