America First?

America First! is what a proud MAGA voter declared was what she liked about Trump! I thought she had imbibed too much of his Kool-aid. He had campaigned on America First, immigration, bringing costs down and NO new wars. I thought, “how is he doing on his promises? Well, he turned ICE into his personal masked Gestapo, deporting not the “worst of the worst, but America citizens and kids, and killing some American citizens. Costs haven’t come down and will be getting worse due to his breaking the second promise with the Iran war. America isn’t being considered first, it’s way down the line behind his ego. Then I thought some more and figured America is First, but not the way we wanted. America is first in corrupt politicians and billionaires. First in lawsuits filed against the government. First in the administration ignoring the Constitution and breaking laws. First in trying to restrict voting rights to keep a corrupt administration in power. First in attacking the judiciary when it tries to enforce the laws. First in wasting money on politicians’ pet, self-aggrandizing projects. First in appointing Cabinet members to jobs they are not qualified for or interested in doing properly. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea and could add plenty more. The best we can do is try to do our part in honoring the Constitution and fighting against the abuses created by the government and the small (and shrinking) minority that still supports it. Keep the faith!
