I am distancing myself from the Democratic Party because of your lack of action to permanently end the genocide in Gaza. Threatening me with a Trump presidency will not deter my decision. I have decided to vote third party unless you take action to secure my vote.
I would expect my next President to:
1. Firmly demand and secure a permanent ceasefire.
2. Apply US law and enact a strict arms embargo on Israel and better use my tax dollars than to slaughter an unacceptably large percentage of the Palestinian population.
3. Aggressively demand that unexpired food, water, and medicine be allowed to reach the Palestinians in Gaza. Their capacity to provide healthcare has been obliterated, people are so deprived of water that diseases are spreading, and children are starving to death!
4. Promptly hold Israel accountable for its actions including prosecution and reperations.
5. Commit to a free, unoccupied Palestinian state.
6. Voters are now aware of AIPAC and how they put Israeli interests over American ones. Steps must to be taken to label it as a foreign agent.
Words and promises will not sway my vote. I need to see action that is not later reversed.
Like most Americans, I am appalled by the death and destruction enacted on fellow human beings over this past year.
Like most voters, I now realize that I need to be more aware of the actions taken by my government and how my tax money is used.
I will only vote for peacemakers. Take action to show that you are a peacemaker.
