It’s time to re-ban assault weapons

The second amendment can be both upheld and curtailed. It does not grant an absolute right to own guns. In fact, most Americans believe that assault weapons (weapons of war, of maximal destruction, of mass death) do not belong in American homes or on America’s streets. With the House passing an assault weapons ban, it is now your chance to protect America for generations to come. Please vote to ban these unnecessarily dangerous weapons and help stop the mass murder of your fellow citizens.
