Stop the State Park Preservation Act from moving forward

I am writing to you as a concerned constituent regarding the critical State Park Preservation Act currently before the Legislature. I've recently learned that there are efforts underway by Governor DeSantis and developers to prevent this vital legislation from moving forward.
Florida's state parks are irreplaceable treasures that provide essential natural habitats, recreation opportunities, and economic benefits to our communities. The State Park Preservation Act (SB 80) and its House companion (HB 209) represent crucial protections for these valuable public lands.
I strongly urge you to:
Contact Senate President Ben Albritton and encourage him to bring SB 80 (State Land Management) to a vote immediately
Advocate for the adoption of language from the recently passed House companion bill, HB 209
Stand firm against any attempts to weaken protections for our state parks
We are incredibly close to securing a historic victory for Florida's environmental heritage. Please don't allow these important protections to be derailed by political maneuvering or special interests that do not represent the will of your constituents.
The overwhelming majority of Floridians support strong protections for our state parks. By championing this legislation, you have an opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to preserving Florida's natural beauty for generations to come.
I appreciate your consideration of this urgent matter and look forward to seeing your leadership in protecting our invaluable state parks.
