An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Vote NO for the SAVE Act!

31 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

This legislation would require voters to present documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. While ensuring only eligible citizens vote is a legitimate goal, the proposed requirements risk disenfranchising many eligible voters who may face challenges obtaining the specified documents, particularly those from underserved communities or with limited resources. Voter fraud is extremely rare, and this bill creates unnecessary barriers to exercising the fundamental right to vote. I urge you to reject this measure as it would undermine faith in our electoral process and make it harder for Americans to participate in our democracy. Instead, efforts should focus on expanding voter access and making registration easier for all eligible citizens.
