An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect the Digital Equity Act

147 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

I write to you as your constituent to express my strong support for the Digital Equity Act (DEA). This bipartisan legislation provides essential internet access, devices, and digital skills training that many in our community desperately need. President Trump's recent statements (May 9, 2025) suggesting he might revoke DEA funding through executive action concern me deeply. Such action would harm our community, affecting everyone from seniors to students to job seekers. During the pandemic, we saw how internet access directly affected people's ability to access healthcare, education, and employment. This isn't a partisan issue—it ensures everyone can participate in today's digital society. Please: • Publicly reaffirm your support for the DEA • Demand Congressional oversight regarding these funding threats • Urge federal agencies to continue implementation Digital inclusion must remain a national priority. Please stand up for our community's digital future.
