Defend Trans Youth Medical Access Against Federal Attacks

This administration is waging a deliberate, hostile campaign against transgender youth and their access to medical care — and I need you to fight back. Use every legislative tool available to block federal interference with gender-affirming care, oppose any funding restrictions targeting trans patients, and speak out publicly against this cruelty. The evidence is not ambiguous. Over 20 scientific studies show gender-affirming care improves mental health outcomes including anxiety, depression, and suicidality. These are real kids with real doctors and real families making carefully considered medical decisions — and this administration is attacking that with gross animosity, not science. Courts across the country have recognized the medical consensus supporting this care, and the political assault on it is causing direct harm while legal battles play out. Trans youth in this state deserve the same protection as anyone else. I expect you to stand between them and an administration that has made their medical care a political target.
