Immediate Action Required to Defend the Constitution

I am writing to you as a constituent who is gravely concerned about the current constitutional crisis unfolding before our eyes. Donald Trump has openly defied the authority of the United States Supreme Court and invited the president of El Salvador to the Oval Office in direct defiance of a ruling by the Court. This is not just a breach of decorum — it is a direct assault on the rule of law and the foundation of our democracy. The judiciary cannot be ignored without consequences. If the Supreme Court can be disregarded by a former president without swift, firm response from Congress, then the very fabric of constitutional governance is unraveling. You cannot sit back and watch this happen. I urge you to do what is right — not what is easy or politically convenient. If you will not act to protect this country from authoritarian overreach, then you are no longer a bystander. You are a collaborator. I am calling on you to: • Publicly denounce Trump’s defiance of the Court • Support emergency congressional hearings on the matter • Stand up for judicial independence and constitutional checks and balances • Work with colleagues to prevent further erosion of democratic institutions There is no neutral ground here. History will remember who stood up — and who stood aside.
