Maintain separation of powers and provide a check to Executive overreach. Congress requires 30 days advance notice with substantive rationale prior to the removal of any inspector general, which has not happened in this administration.  These watch dogs root out waste, fraud and abuse.  Don’t step aside to pave the way for corruption.
