I am aware that ICE is present here in Northeast Wisconsin. I do not want ICE here in Northeast Wisconsin. They are harming my community. I have never been harmed or had any problems with immigrants, illegal or otherwise. But I hate having to worry about masked men roaming my community and taking people away. This is wrong, and it is not making our country any better.
In the words of Pope Francis, “What is built on the basis of force, and not on the truth about the equal dignity of every human being, begins badly and will end badly.”
Mass deportation is not the way. As a citizen of this nation, as a lifelong Catholic, and as a human being: this is wrong in the eyes of man as well as God.
