An open letter to State Governors (Tenn. only)

Admit your error in judgement and bring TN Guard members home.

22 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Your reckless authorization of the use of TN National Guard troops in Memphis was irresponsible and ineffective. As we saw clearly this week, putting these men and women in a role (policing) that they are not trained for creates a very serious threat to their safety. Surely there were other options available to you and the Memphis officials that didn’t have to endanger the safety of our TN National Guard members. You should immediately withdraw the TN National Guard members you sent to Memphis and apologize to them and to the people of TN for your serious error of judgement. Find a better way to reduce crime than endangering our National Guard members. It’s your responsibility.
