Today I’m writing to urge you to oppose the nomination of Eric C. Tung for the federal bench on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He’s just another in a long string of extremist nominees. He’s also a member of the fringe Federalist Society, whose only goal is to undermine equal justice under the law. Furthermore, Tung's membership in the conservative Federalist Society and his endorsement by partisan groups like the Judicial Crisis Network signal an ideological bent that clearly show an impaired reasoning and complete lack of judicial independence.
