Protect U.S. Veterans from Deportation – No Cash For Insurrectionists
4 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
I am writing to express my outrage and deep concern over a national disgrace that demands your immediate attention.
Ashli Babbitt died while attacking the United States Capitol during an attempted insurrection. Her family is now reportedly receiving $5 million in taxpayer funds. Meanwhile, immigrant U.S. military veterans—men and women who served honorably under our flag—have been deported and remain exiled from the country they risked their lives to defend.
This is not just injustice—it is betrayal.
These deported veterans upheld the Constitution. They answered the call to serve. They fought for a nation that promised them citizenship in return, only to be discarded. In contrast, we now see public officials endorsing multimillion-dollar payouts to the family of someone who trampled on everything those veterans swore to protect.
Where is the morality in this?
Where is the honor?
If we have $5 million to give to the family of a domestic attacker, then we surely have the means—and more importantly, the duty—to protect all veterans from deportation and bring home those already wrongfully deported.
I urge you to:
• Publicly oppose any form of reward or financial benefit to individuals or families associated with the January 6th insurrection.
• Pass legislation that guarantees protection from deportation for all veterans, especially those promised citizenship in exchange for their service.
• Establish a clear, expedited pathway for the repatriation of all deported veterans.
• Make a public statement affirming that those who attack this country will not be celebrated, rewarded, or compensated with taxpayer dollars.
Enough is enough. This country owes a sacred debt to its veterans, regardless of where they were born. It is your job to ensure that debt is paid with dignity, not betrayal.
I am calling on you now to act—and to make your position known.
