The bathroom ban is worse. Forcing transgender men and women out of public restrooms doesn't protect anyone — it exposes them to harassment and danger. This is a cruel, unnecessary law that solves no real problem. Houston's LGBTQ+ community is already navigating a harder climate, with Pride Houston losing over $180,000 in corporate sponsorships this year alone. The community doesn't need its elected officials piling on. It needs them to stand up.
