NO BLANK CHECKS: Cease Unconstitutional Funding for Iran Operations

As your constituent, I am writing to demand that you stop sitting back and monitoring the war in Iran and start exercising your Article I power to end it. The administration is currently conducting a war in Iran in total defiance of the Constitution. Despite the President’s claim in June 2025 that Iran's nuclear program was "obliterated," we are now being dragged into a ground war based on a clearly false imminent threat that your own Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, testified does not exist. This is not a military operation; it is an unauthorized war of choice that is costing American taxpayers $1 billion per day. I am demanding that you: 1. Deny the $200 Billion Supplemental: Do not vote for a single cent of additional funding for Iran operations. If the administration wants to fight a ground war, they must come to Congress for a formal Declaration of War as required by the Constitution. 2. Enforce the 30-Day Clock: The War Powers Act clock started on February 28. That clock has run out. Any further engagement without explicit Congressional authorization is illegal. - End the War: We are exhausting our strategic munitions and risking the lives of our service members so that Pete Hegseth can pursue a regime change fantasy that has already caused global oil prices to skyrocket and radicalized a new generation. The rookie mistakes from this unqualified and completely inept administration are unsurprising, and they are being paid for by families who are seeing the results at the gas pump and in the ongoing risk that this administration has created by starting a war with a region that they do not understand.
