Reopen the House and fund healthcare

As a constituent, I request your urgent attention to pressuring Speaker Mike Johnson to reopen the people’s House of Representatives and commence meaningful negotiations with Democrats to end the government shutdown and pass an appropriations bill that funds healthcare. Please stop the lying that Democrats are seeking funding for support of healthcare benefits for undocumented aliens. Fact checking shows this is untrue. Even Republicans own bill continues funding of Emergency Medicare that may fund benefits for emergency care for all through EMTALA. This funding represents less than 4% of Medicaid expenditures.
