I am writing to oppose the Laken Riley Act. The current verbiage removes due process for Immigrants, Migrants etc. Being detained over a minor crime such as shoplifting $100 and deported, before having a day in court to prove guilt, is a heavy handed response to a horrific situation. The bill purposely side steps the Supreme Court rulings on States suing the Federal Government. This is an overreach, and a horrible step in the wrong direction for our country.
