An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect IMLS, pillars of knowledge and culture

12 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Gutting the Institute of Museum and Library Services is an outrageous attack on vital community resources that promote literacy, education, and cultural preservation. Without proper funding and staffing, this agency cannot fulfill its crucial role of supporting libraries and museums nationwide, terminating essential programs and denying access to knowledge for all Americans, especially in underserved rural areas. This reckless action must be stopped to protect these pillars of our communities from devastating cuts that undermine their ability to foster learning and enrich our lives.
