Demand Air Safety Standards from Trump Administration

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to demand that the Trump Administration maintain air safety and transportation safety standards.   Travel is a critical part of our economy in our state. Billions of dollars flow through the airports, and many millions of passengers.   You need to use your positions to remind the Trump Administration that they are responsible for the safety of passengers, the smooth operation of our airports in our state, as well as investigation of air accidents and rail accidents.   The recent air crashes are huge tragedies, and I am appalled at the callous way these have been handled by the new Transportation Secretary,  Duffy, and the President.   However, we at the state level have the power to halt further dismantling of the FAA and NTSB, and in fact, we ought to be restoring and enhancing these agencies.   Thank you for your attention to this matter.
