Shut Down Taylor Farms — 22,700 Sick, Two Dead, No Action

Shut down Taylor Farms. Their contaminated lettuce has sickened more than 22,700 Americans, put over 500 in the hospital, and killed two people. Nearly 240,000 cases of recalled produce reached Walmart, Subway, Taco Bell, and dozens of other retailers across 27 states — and this administration is patting itself on the back. NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya went on national television to praise the FDA's response. That is obscene.
Taylor Farms used deliberately obscure shorthand on their recall notices — "MKTSD" instead of Marketside, "CV" instead of Cross Valley Farms — making it harder for consumers to know they were at risk. That is not an accident. The Consumer Federation of America called it out on July 21, and still nothing has changed. This company poisoned the food supply and then tried to hide it in the fine print.
The Trump administration has failed to protect the public. I want to see you demand immediate federal action to suspend Taylor Farms' distribution operations, hold the company accountable for its deceptive recall practices, and stop accepting "great job" as an answer while Americans are dying from contaminated salad.
