I am writing to express my deep concern regarding Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s continued service in a leadership role within the Department of Health and Human Services and to ask you to support his impeachment. His long record of promoting scientifically unsupported claims about medicine, vaccines, and autism is fundamentally incompatible with the responsibilities of an agency entrusted with safeguarding public health.
For years, Mr. Kennedy has advanced the false narrative that childhood vaccines are a significant driver of autism, despite overwhelming consensus from the CDC, NIH, WHO, and every major medical association that no such link exists. In numerous interviews and public appearances, he has repeated the disproven claim that “vaccines cause autism,” often framing it as a suppressed truth rather than a thoroughly debunked allegation.
He has also invoked medications like acetaminophen (Tylenol) as supposed contributors to the rise in autism diagnoses. For example, he has stated that “a child who gets Tylenol after a vaccine is much more likely to develop autism,” a claim entirely unsupported by credible scientific evidence and contradicted by large-scale studies. Assertions like these mislead the public and erode trust in essential medical guidance.
These kinds of statements are not harmless speculation. They have real-world consequences: they fuel fear, reduce vaccination rates, and contribute to the spread of misinformation that endangers children, immunocompromised adults, and entire communities. Someone in a senior HHS position must be committed to communicating accurate, evidence-based health information and strengthening—not undermining—public trust.
At a time when our nation faces ongoing public health challenges, we cannot afford leadership that encourages confusion about basic medical facts. Effective oversight, accountability, and adherence to scientific standards are essential for the Department of Health and Human Services to function responsibly and credibly.
I urge you to ensure that the integrity of our public-health institutions is protected. Leadership at HHS must be grounded in evidence, transparency, and a demonstrated commitment to the health of Americans—not in the promotion of debunked medical theories.
