Texas AG Ken Paxton Is Weaponizing His Office. Demand Accountability Now!

Ken Paxton is not defending Texas. He’s deflecting, distracting, and abusing power to silence political opponents. His investigation into Beto O’Rourke’s Powered by People, simply for helping Democrats exercise a legal political strategy, is nothing more than a weaponized stunt. Leaving the state to block gerrymandering is not a crime. Using the Attorney General’s office to punish that decision is a dangerous overreach. This is coming from a man who has been impeached, indicted, and under federal investigation for years. A man who fired whistleblowers and then tried to discredit them. A man whose own corruption is well documented. And now he’s launching bogus investigations to make himself look tough and loyal to Trump. Texans aren’t fooled. If the legislature won’t act, then voters must. This state deserves better than a power-hungry official who uses his office to threaten political opposition. We need real public servants who defend democracy, not gut it. It’s time to end the intimidation and demand accountability.
