Stop Wasting Time on Hunter Biden!

Really, gentlemen, really? Hearings on UFOs and the endless harping about Hunter Biden are just two of the recent Congressional boondoggles. Real problems continue to face Americans. Our roads and bridges are badly in near of maintenance, our highways need more rest stops to ensure the roads are safe. There are currently 80 large wildfires raging in 13 states across the US. We need to invest in newer and better firefighting equipment and techniques as this problem isn't going away. We need more support for good and accessible mental health care for all Americans since you always blame gun violence on mental health issues. According to a study by Harvard Medical School, nearly 45,000 people die in the United States each year due to lack of health insurance and inability to get good care. Another study estimates that somewhere between 20,000 and 40,000 deaths occur each year due to lack of health insurance. Yet nothing is done to address these problems. On average, other large, wealthy countries spend about half as much per person on health as the U.S. In 2019, the U.S. spent $1,126 per capita on prescribed medicines, while comparable countries spent $552 on average. The prices of many brand-name prescription drugs used to treat conditions including diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and cardiovascular disease are more expensive in the U.S than in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland or the U.K. For instance, the price of Humira in the U.S. is 423% more expensive that the price in the U.K. and 186% more than that in Germany. American students are doing poorly in math and science compared to many other countries, according to many studies. These low scores mean that U.S. students may not be as prepared to take high-paying computer and engineering jobs, which then often go to foreign workers. Many Americans can barely afford a place to live, food, clothing, and transportation. Using the US median income as a baseline, over the last 20 years household income went up by 49%. Yet the price of a home increased 96% in that same period, the cost of college increased 127% in the period, the cost of food is up over 100%, and so on. This is clearly a problem hurting many Americans, but Congress isn't doing enough fast enough. But yeah, worry about Hunter Biden and UFOs...
