Cease inhumane treatment and deportation of vulnerable migrants.

The recent reports of the United States deporting hundreds of migrants to Panama and detaining them in hotels and makeshift camps raise grave concerns about the inhumane treatment of vulnerable individuals. Stripping migrants of their rights, confiscating their belongings, and rendering them virtually incommunicado is a blatant violation of international human rights principles and the values our nation claims to uphold. It is unacceptable for the government to outsource its immigration responsibilities to other nations through coercive means, essentially exporting human beings against their will. The deportees, many of whom were seeking asylum, now find themselves trapped in a foreign land, with their safety and basic needs compromised. This callous disregard for human dignity is deeply troubling. We urge the administration to immediately cease these unconscionable practices and ensure that all migrants are treated with respect and afforded due process, including access to legal counsel and humanitarian assistance. The United States must uphold its commitment to human rights and refrain from implementing policies that endanger lives and undermine our moral standing on the global stage.
