I’ve written to you before, but this time it’s not just disappointment—it’s outrage.
I never thought I’d have to write a letter like this, but here we are. Watching you fall in line behind Elon Musk’s dangerous agenda has been nothing short of disgraceful. You aren’t leading—you’re following. You aren’t standing up for Iowa—you’re bowing down to a billionaire who treats our government like his personal playground.
What happened to you? You look weak. You look scared. You look compromised. You’re not defending conservative principles—you’re letting them be manipulated, twisted, and sold to the highest bidder. Musk openly declares that “regulations, basically, should be default gone,” and you nod along like that’s bold leadership. It’s not. It’s reckless, it’s dangerous, and it’s proof that you’ve abandoned any shred of integrity you once had.
I don’t know if it’s fear, ambition, or just plain ignorance, but whatever’s driving you, it’s not courage. You’ve become part of the problem—a nother enabler promoting the slow dismantling of the very systems that hold this country together. And for what? To cozy up to power? To avoid confrontation? Because it sure isn’t for the people of Iowa.
You’ve chosen to be manipulated. You’ve chosen to be compromised. And now you’re part of the rot eating away at the core of our democracy.
If you think you can ride this out quietly, you’re wrong. The people are watching. I’m watching. And if you don’t change course immediately—if you don’t stand up, speak out, and fight for the Constitution you swore to protect—you’ve lost votes forever. More than that, I will make sure everyone I know understands exactly how you’ve betrayed us.
You will regret this. History will not be kind to cowards.
Do your job. If you still remember how.
