Finally Republicans told Musk DOGE should respect Congress’s power of the purse.
1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
It is time to wake up. Americans want a smaller, more efficient government—not reckless cuts that trample our rights and destabilize our economy.
Elon Musk’s partnership with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) raises serious concerns about transparency, legality, and accountability. While Speaker Mike Johnson hails these cuts as “revolutionary,” reports indicate billions in accounting errors and misleading claims of savings. This demands scrutiny.
Slashing 72,000 VA jobs, rolling back critical services, and leaving veterans, farmers, and other vulnerable groups at risk is not responsible governance. Rep. Derrick Van Orden says veterans’ benefits will be protected, but where is the plan to ensure that?
I am glad to hear that Republicans told Mr. Musk his efforts to reshape and resize the federal government will require a vote on Capitol Hill—signaling that he and his agency must respect Congress’s power of the purse.
Meanwhile, Trump and Republican leaders continue amplifying Musk’s falsehoods, embarrassing our nation on the world stage. Is this the legacy Congress wants to leave?
Restore democracy. Protect our economy. Govern with transparency, accountability, and respect for the American people—not billionaires and political games.
