Demand accountability for security breach mishandling classified information

This breach of national security by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other cabinet officials is completely unacceptable. Discussing classified military strike plans over an unsecured commercial messaging app like Signal represents a shocking dereliction of duty that jeopardizes operational security and puts American lives at risk. Their actions demonstrate an appalling lack of judgment and competence unbefitting of their positions. An immediate congressional investigation must be launched into the widespread mishandling of classified information by top Trump administration officials. Hegseth, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and every other participant in these insecure Signal chats showed blatant disregard for national security protocols and may have violated laws like the Espionage Act. At minimum, they have irreparably compromised sensitive intelligence sources and methods. Accountability is essential to reestablishing trust in our national security apparatus. I urge you to demand the resignations of Hegseth, Waltz, and any other officials involved in this severe breach. If they refuse to step down, Congress must move swiftly to remove these unfit individuals from office through impeachment or other means. Their incompetence has undermined faith in the leadership overseeing our military and intelligence agencies during a critical time. Restoring credibility requires swift and decisive action in holding them responsible.
