An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect voting rights, reject voter suppression executive order

15 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The executive order on elections represents a concerning overreach of executive power and an attempt at voter suppression through unnecessary proof of citizenship requirements for voter registration. Such requirements disproportionately disenfranchise marginalized communities and undermine free and fair elections, which are the cornerstone of democracy. Expanding access to voting should be prioritized, not creating new barriers that make it harder for eligible citizens to cast their ballots. I urge opposition to this order in order to protect the integrity of elections.
