Millions of families are about to go hungry as a result of this shutdown. SNAP benefits are set to run out extremely soon--and while Trump is more than happy to draw on mystery money to keep troops paid, he will not draw on contingency funds meant for exactly this scenario, where SNAP benefits will imminently run dry. He says the funds are for natural disasters and other emergencies, but he's also working on shutting down FEMA, so what exactly are those funds being held for? Please, stop letting the executive branch do the legislature's job. Stand with the Democrats for healthcare that will keep millions of Americans safe, and in doing so, will also end this ridiculous deadlock and keep those same Americans from starving. If you care about the working poor, you'll move on this issue.
