An open letter to the U.S. Congress

NO on taxpayer paid ballroom!

74 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

I’m asking you to vote NO on the ballroom bill. Another Trump promise broken and the citizens can’t afford it. Trump promised that no taxpayer funds would be used to fund the $200, no, $300 million, no, $400 million cost. Now the ballroom is going to cost $1 BILLION, which the GOP is trying to hide in an immigration bill. No explanation of the increase. According to reports, the project is apparently awarded in a no bid contract due to timing issues. Apparently there was “creative accounting” in applying a 27% inflation adjustment plus an additional 24% inflation reserve. I’ve worked in finance over 50 years and that certainly doesn’t pass the smell test. Something is definitely rotten about this bill . Vote NO!
