An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Renew National Flood Insurance Program Expiring Tomorrow

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

We learned today from NBC News that funding for national flood insurance is going to expire tomorrow: “The National Flood Insurance Program’s authorization will lapse on Oct. 1 unless Congress takes action before then.” Please make sure that the program is renewed promptly because so many Americans need this assistance since they don’t have flood insurance themselves and extreme weather events leading to flooded properties are happening more frequently now due to climate change.
