I’m writing you again today as the fighting rages on in Artsakh-Karabakh. Things are looking grim for Armenians. Israel continues to deliver weapons to Azerbaijan. Turkey continues to loan US-built F16s to Azerbaijan. And Armenia has fewer weapons from the 1970s and 80s.
It should be obvious by now who is the aggressor, who the defender, and what stance we should be taking as a country. I much appreciated VP Biden’s statement on how he thinks things should be handled and what he’ll do if elected president. However, I call on you now as currently elected officials to do more. Many are saying this situation is slowly leading toward genocide. And from the attacks on Armenians in France and elsewhere by Azeris and Turks support this notion. This recent ABCNews article also speaks to that likely outcome if world powers do not intervene. https://abcnews.go.com/International/us-brokered-ceasefire-armenia-azerbaijan-fails-fighting-continues/story?id=73857175&fbclid=IwAR03vgQSbwY1raHgIvmiajyGEOzHFfT99HUofZO7klSNQZQAGEybC_g152I
Again I ask that you do whatever you can to help Armenians and avoid genocide.
Thank you for your time and action on behalf of peaceful Armenians.
