I am writing to urge you to resist opening the government. The President, Senate Majority Leader and especially the Speaker of the House own this shutdown. For Democrats to cave now, instead of continuing to fight on behalf of all Americans is a slap in the face to the Blue Wave that your constituents supported. Replace Senator Schumer if you can, but do not give in to this hostage situation manufactured by the Republicans.
